Walker Methodist Westwood Ridge II U.S. News Best Nursing Homes Short-Term Rehabilitation

U.S. News & World Report ranks Walker Methodist Westwood Ridge II as one of the top, elite skilled nursing facilities in the country. Again.

Westwood Ridge II earned the short-term rehabilitation rating of “High Performing,” with three out of three possible points.

According to U.S. News, “Walker Methodist Westwood Ridge II is now among the elite skilled nursing facilities that can call itself a U.S. News 2019-20 Best Nursing Home. That’s because it’s among the 19% of U.S. SNFs [skilled nursing facilities] that earned at least one ‘High Performing’ rating in what we believe is the most in-depth analysis of U.S. nursing homes ever published.”

The U.S. News 2019-20 Best Nursing Home award is based on a facility’s quality of “post-acute care for patients recovering from a hospital stay such as after stroke, heart attack, infection, or accidental injury.”

The data evaluated comes from the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicare Service. Westwood Ridge scored well above state and national averages in areas including nurse staffing, physical therapy staffing, patient’s ability to return, and prevention of falls.

The five-star community in West St. Paul offers enhanced assisted living, care suites, memory care, respite care, and transitional care.
