Join Us: 5k/10k Walk/Run on June 3rd!

Have you been meaning to jump-start your wellness?

Join our employees, families, and residents for a morning of fun and friendship at the 12th annual 5k/10k on June 3, 2017. Start your Saturday morning with a walk or run around beautiful Lake Harriet in South Minneapolis.

Three important reasons for moving 20 minutes a day:

  1. Be healthier and live longer – reduces risk of diabetes, cancer, and other chronic diseases
  2. Be stronger – healthy muscles help your body function properly
  3. Boost your mood – increase your endorphin levels and relieve stress

Wellness is in our DNA. Our residents at Walker Methodist are fortunate to have a great fitness staff that provides group exercise classes, one-on-one personal training, and state of the art fitness equipment made specifically for older adults. The average age of our residents is 85. If they can do it, so can you!

Register online today HERE. Invite a friend and we’ll even give you a free pair of performance socks. Get five friends to sign up and get enough socks for each weekday!

This is the major fundraiser for the Walker Methodist Foundation. All proceeds bring our 2,400 residents a higher quality of life and more enrichment activities. Help us meet our goal of raising $100,000 – we’re 78% there and we need your help. Join in the fun at 9 a.m. on June 3, 2017 at Lake Harriet for the Run/Walk For The Health of It.
