With a celebratory toast, Havenwood of Burnsville opened it doors in January, welcoming its first residents. Located in the heart of Burnsville, just off of county Road 42 and I-35W, this community delivers a vibrant lifestyle with a variety of social, physical, and spiritual programs designed to promote independence with the support of individualized health care services.
With 134 apartments, Havenwood of Burnsville features independent living apartments, assisted living apartments, memory care suites, and care suites. Apartments range in size from studios to two-bedroom units. The community offers restaurant-style dining, a deli, community patio, salon and spa, state-of-the-art fitness center, pet wash, woodworking shop, arts and crafts room, library, and pub room.
Scott Riddle, president and CEO of Walker Methodist, says, “Not only are the Havenwood buildings beautiful and feature many unique amenities, they are genuine communities that foster friendships and enhance the lives of older adults.”
The mission of Walker Methodist is Life. And all the living that goes with it. Enhancing the lives of older adults through a culture of care, respect, and service. “Every day, Walker Methodist strives to enhance lives by serving great food, focusing on wellness and fitness, providing excellent clinical care, creating meaningful programming and activities, and working with people who care and treat everyone with respect and dignity,” said Riddle. “We are pleased to bring our mission to Burnsville.”
The new Havenwood senior living community is owned by Roers Companies, a Minneapolis-based real estate firm. This is the third Havenwood community Walker Methodist manages, with others in Minnetonka and Onalaska, Wisc. The two companies are also working together to create senior living communities in Buffalo and Maple Grove.
