Happy Holidays from Walker Methodist

Scott Riddle | Dec 24, 2019

To the Walker Methodist family,

package with "happy holidays!" tagThis holiday season I find myself reflecting on the past year with such joy. In the last year we have opened new communities in Minnetonka and Onalaska with our partners at Roers Companies. Today construction continues on new communities in Burnsville and Buffalo. With our partners at Silver Creek Senior Communities, we are also working on new communities in Rush City and Pine City.

I consider it my great honor and privilege to serve as president of a growing senior living organization. Each day I strive to model the principles of servant leadership in my own work, and every day I witness servant leadership displayed in others. From the dietary staff member who smiles and greets residents to the direct care giver who holds the hand of a lonely resident. It is in these moments that I am reminded of the king who came down from heaven as a baby to be a servant and to bring joy and life to the world.

By his example, we carry out our mission to bring joy and life to those we serve. Our mission is Life. And all the living that goes with it. Enhancing the lives of older adults through a culture of care, respect, and service. Thank you to all the Walker Methodist employees, volunteers, and partners who put this mission into action every day. We succeed because of your dedication to serving others.

In the coming year, we will celebrate Walker Methodist's 75th year, a time when we are able to look back at our past and reflect on our heritage. It is also a time to celebrate our future and look forward to the next 75 years!

This holiday season, my wish for you all is that you would experience the joy, peace, and hope of the season.

On behalf of the leadership team at Walker Methodist, I wish you the happiest of holidays!

Scott Riddle, CEO and President of Walker Methodist
