What Our Staff Love About Walker Methodist

Elizabeth Meyer | May 23, 2016

Heartwarming conversations, smiles, and connections. These are just a few of the many things our Staff Members enjoy about being part of the Walker Methodist team. Find out how and why we’re filled to the brim with excitement about our work, and the passion we have for our Residents. And, how it fuels us to live our Mission, Vision, and Values in more ways than one.

A Positive Difference at Walker Methodist

Our Mission describes us; our people define Walker Methodist. Our Mission is Life. And all the living that goes with it. Enhancing the lives of older adults through a culture of care, respect, and service. Our employees place emphasis on the importance and value they bring to our Residents, everyday. It’s incredibly rewarding to contribute to the wellbeing of others. In all that we do, our Residents are the focus.

We are supportive in the services that we provide at Walker Methodist. But more importantly, our Residents are teaching, showing, sharing, and growing us. Building relationships is a solid foundation on which our organization operates. They deepen as we learn and discover new things about one another.

We Are Family

The experiences, stories, and connections that happen at Walker Methodist are what make it more than just a place to work. There’s fulfillment in the privilege of contributing to the lives of others. The satisfaction is humbling and wonderfully cherished.

We have a different outlook on our communities in terms of “home”. We feel that we are guests in the home of our Residents. It’s their space to live and enjoy life to the fullest. Our staff are the companions, cheerleaders, and compassionate caregivers our Residents see and interact with.

The opportunities are endless; the rewards are countless. For every staff member we employ, we are grateful for the moments and memories we experience. We don’t just provide healthcare, housing, and senior living services. We work to enhance the lives of others and build relationships to support the commitment to our values of respect, imagination, and collaboration.
